This is how the Jailhouse appeared in 1990. In the area to the rear of the structure there still exists a concrete pad and pedestal which supported the first electric sub-station for the village.

Union Cottage is at 309 Union St. just around the corner from the Jailhouse. We've heard was originally a "Tin Shop".

If you look carefully at this podstcard you can see the Jailhouse in the lower left-hand corner. It shows the location of the Opera House as it once stood at the corner of Dayton and Winter streets.

The historic building at 111 N. Winter St. was built in 1878 and in use as the town jail until 1929. There were two jail cells located at the rear of the first floor. All that remains of the cells are some of the barred windows.
